Maruti Suzuki has introduced a car for the young generation. The car is especially designed to suit the needs of young car buyers. It has been stylized and engineered in such a manner that it draws young people towards it especially in the age group of 25-30 years. The A-Star has bold looks, a sporty character and an aerodynamic styling. It exudes a gentle charm and promises to deliver a peppy drive. The car has large wheel arches with strong lines.
The exteriors are incorporated with sweeping expressive lamps, comet shaped tail lamps and wide sporty grille with good engine ventilation. This car would be manufactured in Indian only at the Manesar plant in Gurgaon. Though it would be manufactured in India but it would be exported to the international market especially in Europe. The car also complies with the Euro IV and Euro V norms.
In India the car has four variants to choose from i.e Vxi, Zxi, Lxi and Vxi AT. The car comes with an all new 998cc KB series engine, with 3 cylinders at its heart and 12 Valves. It churns out a power of 67Ps at the rate of 6700rpm and a torque of 90Nm at the rate of 3200rpm. It has ground clearance of 170mm and a wheelbase of 2360mm wheelbase.
The car has compact dimension and the overall length is 3580mm, breadth is 1680mm and height is 1400mm. After the series of successful cars like Swift, Alto and Estilo, A-Star is another great car from Maruti Suzuki to look out for. It provides a fuel efficiency of 19Kmpl on the highway and 16Kmpl in the slow moving urban traffic. The car has many great advantages like power, torque, fuel efficiency and looks- all rolled into one.
