Maruti Suzuki A-Star

Maruti has been famous for selling its cars outside India. The business to exports cars have been a practice over a long period of time. This doesn’t only bring revenue to the company but also to the country. Since these cars are exported, they are specially manufactured to meet the global standards.  Europe contributes to 56% of the country’s cumulative export. Apart from the European countries, Algeria, Chile, Srilanka and Nepal are among the top buyers of the Maruti cars.

The Maruti Suzuki A-Star cars had been exported overseas in February 2009 for the very first time.  The total number of Suzuki A-Star cars which were shipped to the other countries was 1534 cars in United Kingdom, 1458 in Italy and other 76 cars reached the European ports.

The A-Star car entered Europe as a re-entry of the Suzuki Alto. The Maruti A-Star was welcomed in the European markets and the graph of sale was on the rise for this car. The Maruti Suzuki A-Star contributes a vital amount to the total percentage of export from the country. The Suzuki A-Star targets to export around 200000 units by 2010 – 2011. The exports of the A-Star cars are auctioned from the Mundra port in Mumbai. The Maruti A-Star car exported 44870 units with an increase of 18% growth from previous years fiscal. The Suzuki A-Star car is one of the fastest moving cars on the roads of Poland, Finland, Iceland, Malta, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Algeria and Italy. The car is very popular in these countries because of its features, the affordability tag that it carries and also the fact that the car puts safety of its passengers at a premium. The export report says that the company exports the cars to 120 countries over all. Maruti A-Star has been introduced to the new markets now – a – days. Few of the new markets where Maruti Suzuki A-Star has been introduced are Latin America, Africa, South East Asia and Oceania.
