Maruti Suzuki A-Star: The Best Car in its Class

Maruti Suzuki launched it’s A-Star in November 2008. Since then the car has been a favorite amongst the youth. The young wanted a car that was low on the price but it still had features that were young and peppy. Maruti Suzuki caught the pulse of the nation and launched its A-Star. The car was designed for the Indian customers by the Indian engineers. It was also a move by the company to further strengthen its small car market in the organization.

Maruti rolled out its latest hatchback, A-Star in new peppy design. The car has a sporty look which attracts the youth. The stylish, sporty car comes in three variants, the Maruti Suzuki A-Star LXi, VXi, and the top-end fully loaded ZXi. The organization has recently launched its automatic variant. The new automatic version of A-Star was launched on 15th August 2010 and it surely provides relief from the difficulties of driving within the city.

The Maruti Suzuki A-Star will be available in nine colors: Desert Brown, Supreme White, Bright Red, Paradise Blue, Sunlight Cooper, Midnight Black, Healing Green, Silky Silver, and Azure Grey.

The new hatchback from Maruti Suzuki was fitted with the all new K series engine which provides a fuel efficiency of 19km/l. The 1.0 litre, three-cylinder K10B engine provides 67PS at 6000 rpm and 90Nm torque at 3500 rpm. The Maruti Suzuki A-Star gives a top speed of 155 kmph. With such impressive fuel efficiency, the car is set to become a best seller due to the preference of Indian customers of fuel efficient cars. The Indian car user is more concerned about the mileage of the car because of the ever increasing fuel prices.

The Maruti Suzuki A-Star has a ground clearance of 170 mm and a turning radius of 4.5 metres providing better control on pothole-ridden roads and providing a pleasurable driving experience on the city roads.
