Maruti Suzuki A-Star Automatic

Maruti Suzuki launched the automatic version of A-Star on 15th August 2010. The car was launched on the Independence Day and, be it coincidence, the car liberates you from the worries of having to use the clutch a thousand times a day thanks to our congested city roads-Independence indeed! It is being touted as the next big thing on the Indian roads.

Maruti Suzuki has launched an Automatic variant of the hatch A-Star priced at Rs. 4.34 lakhs Ex Showroom Delhi. The A-Star automatic is the latest hatchback from the stable of Maruti Suzuki and is targeted at the youth. It is supposed to provide a pleasurable driving experience even on the crowded city roads. The A-Star is fitted with the all new K series engine which greatly cuts down the carbon dioxide emissions in the air. It complies with the European Emission standards and also with the Indian standards applicable in even in the bigger cities. The A-Star is surely the next generation car as it is being claimed by the organization that the car is 85% recyclable. This is a great initiative taken by Maruti Suzuki keeping in mind the growing pollution levels over the world. It also reflects that Maruti is an environment friendly brand and it seriously considers its role in making this planet a safer place to live in.

The A-Star Automatic has a 4-speed auto transmission on the 1litre K-series engine that according to Maruti Suzuki is tuned to return efficiency levels of 17 kmpl which makes it the most fuel efficient car in its segment. The A-Star Automatic would only be available in the top end Vxi variant, so just one trim level to choose from. While the A-Star is priced at Rs. 4.34 lakhs making it slightly cheaper than its direct rival the Hyundai i10 Automatic.
