Maruti Suzuki A-Star: Taking Maruti’s legacy forward

Maruti Suzuki A-Star is the exciting new hatchback from Maruti Suzuki which has been doing wonders for Maruti Suzuki since its launch in the year 2008. Maruti A-Star a hatchback which comes in the A2 category of small cars and has been giving tough competition to other cars in this category.
Suzuki A-Star delivers a power package which has all the elements of a sedan, albeit in a smaller version. Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is the biggest car manufacturer of the country. MSIL is the Indian arm of Japan-based Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) and are known to manufacture reliable cars which are state-of-the-art and technology driven.
Maruti A-Star is definitely taking Maruti Suzuki’s legacy forward keeping in mind that this cute little hatchback is high on engineering, style, power and at the same time it is eco-friendly. Undoubtedly one of the best car available in the A2 category, A-Star is pitted against cars like WagonR, Swift, i10, etc., all of which have proven their worth as being good cars worth their mettle.
Another interesting thing about A-Star’s launch in the Indian market had been the fact that this car is mainly manufactured for the European audience. This is the first car that is only manufactured in the Indian plants of Maruti and is then exported to 51 different countries all over Europe. Maruti A-Star is sold under the name of Suzuki Alto in Europe and also Nissan Pixo. This has been a very successful partnership between Maruti Suzuki and Nissan as both are major car manufacturers all over the world.
When it comes to exports, Maruti is in fact expected its sales to increase by 31% this financial year. Giving weight to this is the fact that the Asian economy is on an upward trend and the demand for Maruti cars is on an equally upward spiral. A-Star has in no small measures only added to this by proving itself on the international export, thus giving a boost to Maruti exports, especially in Europe.
