Maruti Suzuki India Limited is the No.1 car making company of the nation. The company has sold millions of car till date and has always been a hot favourite among the Indian consumer market. The company has recently launched A-Star, a premium hatchback car with five doors. The car boasts of its compact dimensions, sporty character and aerodynamic styling. The Maruti Suzuki A-Star was launched at the Auto Expo 2008 in New Delhi and since then the car has enjoyed a great road presence. The A-Star quickly became a famous among the youngster, especially those who fall in the category of 25-30 years of age.
The A-Star steals the heart of younger audience mainly due to its sporty looks and also because it provides a very level of fuel efficiency. The car delivers a mileage of 19Kmpl, which is the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of A-Star. The high fuel efficiency has withdrawn a lot of consumer market in the times of economical meltdown. The car has been designed by two Indian designers and the it would be manufactured in India only at the Manesar plant . The A-Star comes in three manual variants and one Automatic Variant i.e Vxi, Zxi, Lxi and Vxi AT respectively. The car has been priced within reasonable range.
It combines excellence in design and efficient road handling. The car is equipped with the next generation KB –Series engine that churns out a maximum power of 67Ps at the rate of 6200rpm and a torque of 90Nm at the rate of 3500 rpm. This engine is low on carbon emission and is very eco-friendly. It even satisfies the European norms of emission. The car is built on entirely new platform and it promises to deliver a safe and a risk fee drive.
