The hatchback cars have always been a hot favourite among the Indian consumers. These cars are more famous among the youth and the women. A new hatchback car that has created buzz in the town is Maruti A-Star. The car has been launched by Maruti Suzuki India Limited. Maruti has always been a market leader in A2 car segment and holds 55% of market share. A-Star boasts itself as a concept car which has latest technology, unique styling, advanced safety features and also advanced KB series engine. Maruti Suzuki A-Star was first showcased during Auto Expo in New Delhi, India. The car has been appreciated a lot for its sporty and aerodynamic looks. The car would also be exported to international market by the name of Suzuki Alto.
The A-Star is a big threat to Hyundai’s i10. With a mileage of 19Kmpl on high way and 16 Kmpl on the city road, it offers great fuel efficiency. A-Star comes with advanced K-Series engine that has 3 cylinders at its heart which churn out an output of 67 PS @ 6200 rpm with a peak torque of 90 Nm @ 3500 rpm.
