Maruti Suzuki is ready to take the hatchback segment by storm with their all new A-Star. In the recent past, the company had come up with Maruti Suzuki Swift which was an instant hit and enjoyed a great road presence. However, Swift later faced major competition by other car companies such as Hyundai’s i10, Chevrolet Beat etc. But now, Maruti Suzuki is back with a world class car A-Star which promises high mileage, futuristic design, comfortable interiors and excellent engine.
The car has been built on an entirely new platform and is world 5th strategic model by Maruti Suzuki. A-Star has bold looks, sporty character along with aerodynamic styling and it woos the younger generation especially in the age group of 25-30 years. Maruti A-Star has been recognized as an unshakable and unstoppable car. The A-Star design has been inspired from the concept cars and it reflects European taste and style. The oversized headlamps, striking bumpers and wide sporty grille enhances the overall beauty of the car. Suzuki A-Star further comes with body coloured bumpers, body coloured mirrors and wheel covers.
Maruti Suzuki A-Star has an excellent KB10 engine which churns out an output of 67Ps and a flat torque of 90Nm. The engine has a lightweight aluminium construction along with a host of innovative technologies in it. Since the new technology has been used in the car therefore the engine does not produce any noise or harshness. The engine is low on carbon emission and complies with present BS-III norms of emission. Equipped with such a great engine and futuristic design, the car has defiantly become a threat to other cars in the A2 segment. Maruti Suzuki A-Star also delivers a mileage of 19kmpl which is the biggest pulling factor of the car. The car was also awarded as the small car of the year 2009 by Overdrive.
