Maruti Suzuki has been recognized as a king in the hatchback segment. The company till now has manufactured great fleet of cars like WagonR, Swift, Alto and Estilo. All these cars have been a major hit in the Indian automobile market and have also enjoyed an immense road presence. From more than a decade Maruti Suzuki has ruled the Indian streets and has sold more than a million cars till date. Earlier the company was known as Maruti Udyog Limited but later on it was renamed as Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
In the last quarter of 2008, the company came up with another interesting innovation called A-Star. What’s interesting about A-Star is its unique styling, its engine and well executed exteriors, which sets it apart from the others. The car comes with aerodynamic styling along with a solid built. The oversized headlamps, striking bumpers and wide sporty grille are some of the features which give it the desired sporty character. Maruti A-Star is further equipped with an advanced KB Series engine which has a displacement of 998cc along with 3 cylinders at its heart. The engine produces a maximum power of 67Ps and a flat torque of 90Nm.
Apart from its well executed exteriors and a great engine, the car uniquely flaunts its sophisticated interiors. The use of two tone grey theme gives a very classy effect in the car while the superior quality material gives a very relaxing and a soothing effect on mind. The Suzuki A-Star is one the best cars in the A2 segment, it comes within a reasonable price range and offers four variant options to choose from namely Vx, Lxi, Zxi and Vxi Automatic Transmission. The company also plants to export this wonder car in the international market especially Europe.
