Maruti Suzuki A-Star: Technology Matters!

The world is a crazy place. More so now that it’s a technologically-crazy place. It’s all about gadgets and gizmos wherever you turn!

India is taking leaps when it comes to introducing and being introduced to the latest technologies. Be it the latest gaming console or the latest car in the market. Talking about cars, what is the one thing in a car that gives that extra punch when you drive it? That makes you want to stop doing whatever you are doing and take your darling up for a ride? It’s the engine. And when it comes to the latest technology in car engines, who else to look up to than our indigenous automotive manufacturers, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL).

Maruti A-Star is the newest entrant to the market which comes equipped with the latest DOHC technology. The technology helps the engine to breathe easy and produce more horse powers even with a small engine. DOHC technology is great in the sense that it enhances the efficiency and performance of the car’s engine. Maruti A-Star in itself is a very furl efficient car. The car has a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres and provides an average of 14kmpl in the city and 19kmpl on the highway.

Maruti A-Star is Suzuki’s exciting new concept car and is a cute little hatchback which isn’t any less than a sedan. Its interiors and exteriors make you want to jump in it and ride away. Maruti is, quite intelligently, highlighting the DOHC technology as the USP of the car. DOHC technology or Double Over Head Cam engine helps make the KB Series 2 cylinder, 998cc engine breathe easy.

A-Star comes in 3 variants namely Lxi, Vxi and Zxi. Apart from these 3, the high end model Vxi also comes in automatic transmission. All the variants of A-Star are designed in the Total Effective Control Technology (TECT), which lessens the impact on the car in case of an accident, all because of its crushable structure ensuring total safety of the passengers.
