Maruti Suzuki has used a special new type of engine in making of A-Star. The implementation of advanced 998cc K-Series engine has been developed under the special investment plan by Maruti Suzuki, making the A-Star worth buying. The engine has been produced after a rigorous amount of Research & Development, Validation and Testing. The advanced technology engine delivers a mileage of 19Kmpl on the highway and 16 Kmpl on the city roads. This engine is made up of lightweight aluminium construction. The A-Star has 3 cylinders at its heart which churns out a maximum output of 67 ps at the rate of 6200 rpm and torque of 90 Nm at the rate of 3500 rpm. The A-Star is also equipped with the Total Effective Control Technology which ensures maximum safety for the passengers.
